Helped a homeowner with this “fishy”situation
This was one of those unforgettable projects we did. This homeowner had several fish aquariums & he needed outlets to power the water pumps. However, if the GFCI tripped, he wanted to be notified. This simple little solution does the trick. When the GFCI trips, it emits an alarm. The alarm isn’t as loud as a smoke detector, but they were able to easily hear it upstairs.
We used GFCI outlets with alarms on another project as well. We had a homeowner with a heat tape outlet in his crawlspace that powered heat tape to prevent the  waterlines from freezing. Because it is in an unfinished area, outlet there had to be GFCI protected. We protected it with an alarm GFCI in the utility room in the main living area. This way, if the GFCI ever tripped, the homeowner could reset it and be notified before his main waterline froze.

The second is about how this homeowner had a full panel that was at complete capacity, but we were still able to add a car charger? How? There's a little known device called a load manager or a load shed device. This device shuts off the EV charger if running the EV charger would cause so much electrical load that the main breaker would trip. It's a handy way to add an EV charger to a 100 amp service without an upgrade or for a condo to have an EV charger without having to have the entire association upgrade the building service.
